Privacy policy

Effective 12 October 2026

ListFirst does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no servers that receive what you or your kids do in the app.

What stays on your phones

Everything ListFirst knows is stored on the phones it runs on and nowhere else:

Requests older than 30 days are deleted automatically. Deleting ListFirst removes the tasks, requests, names and log. iOS keeps Keychain items after an app is deleted, so the PIN hash and the pairing secret stay on the phone until ListFirst is set up on it again, which replaces them.

Screen Time

ListFirst uses Apple's Screen Time framework to lock apps and count free time. Apple keeps that information on the phone and only shows ListFirst coded placeholders for the apps you choose, not their names or how your kid uses them. ListFirst learns only when the day's free time reaches halfway, five minutes left and used up. It never sends Screen Time information anywhere.

Messages between your phones

Requests, proof photos and answers travel between your family's phones in Messages, or in another app you choose. ListFirst never receives them. Proof photos are handed straight to Messages and are not stored by the app.

The links in those messages contain random identifiers, a signature and, in an answer, the name your kid calls the parent who answered. All of it sits after the # in the link, which a web browser never sends to this website.

This website

listfirst.app is a static website with no cookies and no analytics. When a link is opened on a phone without ListFirst, the browser loads a page from this website, and our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, under its own privacy policy.
